University of Batangas College of Engineering continues its tradition of excellence with 43 out of 43 passed the September 2017 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination. University of Batangas emerged again at the top as three of its alumni bagged the most-sought-after top spots.
Engr. Ronel D. Mananap scored 91.70% sealing him in the second place with only .1% difference from the first placer, while Engr. Gener L. Atienza scored 91.25% and garnered the fourth place. Both alumni were known quizzers of the department and graduated Magna Cum Laude. In addition, Engr. Jessie Jusi scored 91% and ranked fifth in the Registered Master Electrician Licensure Examination.
The preparation for the examination was physically and mentally tiring, having only meal time as their rest time too. But that did not hinder them to push through with their goals.
During the testimonial ceremony held last September 11 to honor the recent passers and topnotchers, Atienza expressed his appreciation to Dr. Henry Cabatay, Dean of the College of Engineering, to Engr. Jermhel Solis, the head of the Electrical Engineering Department and to the faculty of Engineering for their support, motivation and the discipline that the department has instilled in their hearts and minds. Meanwhile, Dr. Hernando B. Perez, the University President and Atty. Jesus V. Mayo, the Chairman of the Board of Regents shared their warmest congratulations to the recent board topnotchers who brought honor and distinction to the university not only in the province, but in the whole Philippines.
Mananap expressed his deepest gratitude to the university for honing their skills and encouraged students who were present during the ceremony. “Masarap magrelax, pero kahit papano masasabi ko na may oras sa lahat ng bagay at para sa akin, ang oras na ito is para magpursige para sa ating kinabukasan.” Stressing out that diligent study and discipline are the keys to be successful, Mananap reminded the undergraduates that the journey is just beginning.
The topnotchers also received monetary incentives from University of Batangas.
Truly, University of Batangas has proved its reputation as one of the top-performing universities in the region and in the country as well.
